BestBedding.co.uk started as a simple idea: build a fun testing ground where I can experiment with affiliate content, structured data and APIs, then push it as far as possible with clean SEO fundamentals. No drama, no bloated features, just a lean site built to see how far smart optimisation can really go.
Most affiliate sites are copy-paste jobs. This one isn’t. Best Bedding has been built from the ground up as a proper technical experiment. I’m pulling product data through APIs, storing it in a custom database, and generating accurate product blocks that update automatically. No manual faff, no outdated pricing, no generic “top 10” fluff.
The theme itself is custom, lightweight and designed purely around performance. The whole point is to see how a modern affiliate site performs when you strip out everything unnecessary and focus on speed, intent matching and strong internal architecture. It’s clean, fast and built with SEO logic baked into the template, not slapped on afterwards.
More importantly, it gives me a sandbox for testing ideas. Things like schema experiments, AI-assisted content workflows, Amazon API integrations, product clustering and comparison modules. If something works here, I can roll it into larger projects. If it doesn’t, no big deal.
I’m not pretending Best Bedding is some huge editorial authority. It’s a controlled experiment. A place to test, tweak and break things on purpose. But that’s what makes it interesting. It’s transparent, technical and built with intent.
